Tada~! My very first newsletter - to be honest, I would prefer to call this a personal diary about my latest ideas, career updates and top secrets in the journey of learing a new language. 🤩 I am actually super nervous while writing this because I can finally connect with you all on a more personal level!🤗 Well oh well… Today I would love to share with you some of the things I learnt from traveling the world (are you ready for some exclusive pictures?!😝), and the thoughts and ideas for the upcoming language projects that I wish to share with you all! Yes, I am planning to make all of you here Multilingual HEHE!!! I will also mention about some of the things that happened this week and what is awaiting you all on this journey with me! 🥳

One thing I learnt from traveling the world…

I have honestly so much to share with you all on this one! 😝 The best thing about having seen many parts of the world is getting the perception of how different cultures work. How knowing about other cultures is beneficial to you? 😚 Critical thinking! In this era of being overwhelmed by so much information per day, that many of the people in the population experience the famous state of “having stress”, knowing how to sort your mind and understand situations/media/behaviors from different perspectives can improve your overall well-being. 😊

Today in the morning I would wake up to some sort of video about how Chinese governmet uses the latest AI-technology to control their people/taking their freedom away. - Absolutely nonsense! By having travelled to China before multiple times and havin friends from all over China (by traveling!!!), I can confirm that many rumors going on about China is wrong. 😇

Another faomus case I can share with you all is: “Wait what? Switzerland has high buildings? I thought everywhere is only mountains, rivers and you know just green or filled with snow!”. If you follow me for a while by now, you must know that Switzerland has cities with a fast-pace life. By having travelled in Switzerland, I can confirm that this stereotype is wrong. 🤭

I can bring up many more stereotypes about countries or social groups that are ridiculous. Sadly, many people in the world do not make the effort to see things from different perspectives - in a critical way. I truly think this is a skill that can change ones life in a positive way and therefore encourage each of you to step out of your comfort zone to get to know new cultures! It is very exciting and you get to know many new people along the way that might be able to help you in the future as well. On top of all, you also get to learn their language much easier!😉

Become Multilingual With Me !

So what in the world am I planning all the time? 😁 It has always been a dream of mine to contribute to people’s life in a positive way. Being able to help people further with their life goals. And ever since I was young I would be thinking of things that I am good at which have a purpose as well. Honestly, I never thought being Multilingual is something special. I just always thought it is pretty natural and everyone in the world would speak more than 3 languages. Until one day I uploaded a video on youtube for fun and it has now almost half a million of views!🤯 (Watch it here)

So now coming to the point: I am planning to show you guys how to learn languages. In the fast and easy way that can be done by anyone! I have always thought learning languages can be done quite easily as long as you are determined and consistent. 😃 Having patience is also an important trait when learning a new language. However I also believe that learning language should feel like it is fun. So I am someone who is not fond of studying grammar - but it is very much needed in every language. 🤓 But there is another approach that I have always used during my life when learning new language. Which is learning as many words possible and most important phrases that are used every day. Right now, I am not talking about business level (except you am solely talking about mastering a language so you can use it in your every day life such as enjoying TV-shows, chit chatting with your friends, reading daily books and enjoying the country’s culture. 🤩 I have to honestly admit that I only know 2 languages on a native level - which is German and English. All the other languages I use them in my daily life for fun, which is more than enough for me. Although, many of you know that I speak Korean as well, I can use the other languages to do business: Back in the days, when I lived in Korea, I would work with different companies and by knowing the daily language already, getting to learn the business level of Korean was not hard. Because you learn by experience! I have many more things to share with you (more next time), but that’s it for this week. 💕

I will start working on this language tool of mine that you all can use for learning a new language after my exams. 😋 Currently I am planning on releasing the ultimate learning tool for Korean that helped me to become fluent within 1 month. In the future, other languages will be added and hopefully I can create one that can be used universally! Stay excited because I am working very hard on it.🙈

My current career path

I have never thought that people would be interested in my career path - I also have to say that I am a bit shy when coming to talk about my professional/academic life because it truly touches my heart on an intimate level. I consider my self as someone very passionate and hardworking. Many asked me before how and why I am doing the things I do and how I ended up doing the the things I do…

Few years ago, when I graduated from high school, I went to South Korea to explore my passions. Little did I know, time flew by and I never questioned the things I was doing. I didn’t feel like I had the control over my life in the first place (do you follow me?). I just lived by day by day and very soon I was “trapped” in unhappiness and despair of change. I was put into a situation where I felt very unhappy and lost. I suppose the bad side of living a fast paced life in a big city (Seoul, South Korea) is that you wouldn’t give yourself time to reflect on yourself. Therefore, no matter where you are reading this from, whether a big city or a small village, always plan some time in the day for you to reflect on the decisions you make every day.

Funny enough, some of you probably know I had short hair for 2 years. I actually cut my very long hair back then impulsively at 4AM when being so frustrated about life (it was during exam time too so my stress level was higher than I could manage at all). I am not too sad about it though because I got to experience having short hair and they grow anyways! Always see things from the positive side. However, this is not to encourage anyone here to shave their hair off - HAHA! I just want to voice how I went through up and downs during the past years to only come out stronger. I am still now in the process of learning new things every day and grow to be a stronger person. I started to befriend myself with uncertainties, but never ever again will I put myself into the space of not enjoying what I am doing (e.g. for the sake of others).

For now as many might now already, I am now a very happy university stutent studying Psychology (to be exact, my main focus is in Neuroscience and Clinical Psychology). And oh wow, I love every part of it! The people I met through this journey has been inspiring me in so many ways and I just learn so much (about myself and the world). If I could choose to start all over again, I would definitely choose this path again. The opportunites it has given me, such as working for a Biotechnology Company (Neuroscience) or being a part of huge institutions conducting fascinating research (in psychiatric/neurological disorders) has always been a dream of mine. And honestly, the people in this field are the most heartwarming ones I have ever met in life. The will to help and of course the talent of having empathy towards life. I think this is something many of the young people lack in today’s era because “being cold/cool/savage” is the new to-go trend. Being “emotional/deep/intellectual” on the other hand is often given little attention, which I think is a shame.

Where I want to end in? - For now, I really don’t know. I am enjoying my current journey to become the best self of mine. One thing I know for sure is my big passion in Neuroscience. However, I also want to keep as many doors open for myself as possible for the future, and lucky enough my university offers a path of getting the diploma in Neuroscience & Clinical Psychology - leaving my options open to still go into the clinical side of the field. I think many people misunderstand what Psychology hold in life (unfortunately), but it is a very broad field with so many dimensions to explore (development of human, social aspects of human behavior in every day life or consumer behaviors, cognitive psychology such as assessment of intelligence, way of thinking and so on…it is way too broad to summarize is here and now). If you guys want to know more about the field Psychology and the gems it holds for you, I can talk more about it next time. As in for me, I will keep on focusing on Neuroscience mostly and another passion of mine is the Digital Approach of treating neurological disorders (well that is also in Neuroscience). Something biotechnological/clinical thing is thrilling to me! Thus, I am also learning more and more about Data Analysis (you might have seen on my Instagram) and just programming in general. I have still so many ideas and plans that I would love to share with you more next week and if you like a bit in my life as a research assistant and a manager in a Biotechnology Company. I hoenstly used to be very insecure (it mentally destroyed me) about my writing. 😰 Getting to do this is very exciting for me now and I am ready to improve myself even more. I am still in my exam phase (I actually still hae 3 weeks to go… oufh), however getting to take time off to write to you guys makes me very happy.😝 And somewhat my nervosity is quite gone now (from the beginning when I started off writing this). I have honestly so many exciting life tips and tricks to share with you and I cannot wait to improve our lives together.

I also want to say thank you all for teaching me many things (about your cultures and the things you all do). 🥳 I learnt so much through you as well and once we are more people in this community, I wish to open a place for all of you to conenct with each other in the world and exchange languages. 💥 Wow, I have so many plans I wish to make true. I will be so happy to have you with me on this exciting journey! Anyways, we will hear from each other next week and I will be back with a more relaxed mind too. ❣️😄
